WHAT’S HAPPENING
The 7th edition of Qatar Balloon Festival runs across ten days, from 10 to 19 December 2026. Mornings bring free-flight balloon launches over Doha. Evenings open up into a full festival: a field of glowing balloons, family activities, food, live entertainment, and a different kind of view of Qatar after dark. The timing sits inside the country’s busiest winter season and the National Day period.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Sunrise balloon launches — dozens of balloons rising into the dawn sky. A photographer’s morning.
- Night Glows — balloons lit from within, firing in time with music after dark.
- Family zone — games, inflatables, kite-building workshops, and space for kids to run.
- Food village — local favourites, international kitchens, and street-food trucks.
- PENDING — add on confirmation: venue (Aspire Park or Katara), free public access, and daily hours of 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Fire and laser shows — choreographed light across the festival field each evening.

Sunrise Balloon Launches
The sunrise launches are always a magical experience, and this year will be no different!

Tethered Flights
Enjoy the thrill of going up in a hot air balloon while remaining safely tethered to the ground.

Nightglow
As night falls over the festival grounds, the balloons return to the spotlight in a mesmerizing nightglow show.

Laser Shows
Prepare to be dazzled by stunning laser displays that dance across the sky, complementing the magic of the nightglow.

Playground and Family FUN
